Wet Chop

CHOPVANTAGE wet chop chopped strands provide customers with a portfolio of products to achieve maximum performance in gypsum and roofing applications. Wet chop chopped strands are produced from continuous filament strands with unique sizing chemistry. Various strand lengths are available – ranging from 6-34 millimeter lengths depending on the end-use application requirements. Wet chop chopped strands offer many advantages including quick and easy fiber dispersion.

Wet Chop chopped strands are used mainly for production of well-formed mat or veil, to reinforce applications such as roofing material, vinyl floor covering, plaster or paper. Chopped strands are made by chopping wet continuous glass fibers in lengths usually between 3 and 12 mm (1/8 to 1/2 inch), and they are sold with an average water content of 10% of product weight.
